Daniel Chamorro has had a multi-faceted career in filmmaking; encompassing acting, writing, directing, composing and producing.
Daniel has been awarded, throughout his career as an actor, writer, director, and producer with more than 160 International Prizes. Also has prizes as a music composer (LORCA Film Festival award, FIMUCITÉ award)
His films have been selected for screening in venues like Cartagena de Indias, Palm Springs Film Fest, Rhode Island, Hollyshorts Film Fest. His short film ‘Catharsis’ was preselected for consideration for the Academy Awards. He has been described by Variety Magazine during the Cannes Festival as one of the best 10 best young directors in Spain.
Daniel has directed short films and documentaries in the UK, Spain, USA, Mexico, Ecuador, Perú, and Germany. He has also directed music videos, a webseries, and commercials, collaborating with NGOs such as Manos Unidas.
Chamorro obtained a film degree from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, a Masters in Production from TAI, as well as completing two ECAM courses. He was selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus, where he was able to study under such luminary filmmakers as Win Wenders, Alan Parker and Walter Murch.
Daniel has been the creative force behind two film festivals (Hemoglozine and Atlantis Film Awards) and has been selected to participate in the jury’s of others, such as the Huesca Film Festival.
